  • Clean and cut the fish into proper sized as desired portions/manageable pieces.Make sure they are bone-in for extra flavor.

  • Marinate with salt, turmeric powder(you can add red chili powder) and ginger garlic roughly paste and store it for 20-30 minutes.

  • In a pan, heat mustard oil , fry the fish in medium flame from both side till golden color, keep it aside.

  • Chop onions, tomatoes, garlic, ginger, and green chilies.

 

  • Take another Pan ,add oil (as per your preference mustard oil or vegetable oil) mustard seeds, elaichi and cumin seeds until they splutter.

  • Make chopped garlic, ginger, green chilies and make a smooth paste.

  • Add chopped green chilies, onions/paste the onions and saute until golden brown.

  • Add the Ginger Garlic paste.

  • Include tomatoes and cook until they soften and meld with the aromatics.

  • Introduce turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chili powder. and salt saute it.

  • Add water into the spices and mix well and make a smooth gravy and let the spices leave the oil.

  • Carefully place the fried fish into the curry. Cook until the fish is tender will give a perfect fish curry.

  • Simmer the curry on low heat, allowing the fish to absorb the rich flavors to the fish curry.
  • Add water into the gravy and make a watery fish curry.
