Butter Chicken is a beloved Indian dish that has gained international popularity for its rich and creamy tomato-based curry. This indulgent recipe is a perfect blend of tender chicken pieces, aromatic spices, and a luscious buttery sauce. Here’s how you can recreate this classic Butter Chicken Recipe at home.

Marinating the Chicken:

  1. In a bowl, mix yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, and salt to create the marinade.
  2. Add the chicken pieces to the marinate, make sure that each piece is well-coated. Cover it and let it marinate for at least 2 hours. This step increases the flavor and tenderness of the butter chicken.

Cooking the Chicken:

  1. Take a Pan , heat the butter then add the marinated chicken,  fry it until it’s cooked

          NOTE:frying chicken in butter enhance the flavors of butter chicken

2. In between you can prepare the buttery tomato gravy for Butter Chicken Recipe.

Making the Paste for Butter Chicken 

  1. Take 2 tomatoes and soaked cashews mix it and make a smooth paste.
  2. Make the both paste differently for Butter Chicken Recipe it will give us a perfect thickness.

Making the Butter Chicken Masala

  1. Heat oil and butter in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add green chili slice cut , cinnamon, cardamoms,  cloves and black pepper let it splutter.
  3. Add the chopped onions and cooked until golden brown.
  4. Add ginger-garlic paste and saute for another 2 minutes until the raw aroma leaves.
  5. Take a sieve and strain the tomato puree and take out the rest and cook for 5-7 minutes until the oil starts to separate from the tomato mixture.
  6. Add red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, coriander powder, and salt. Cook the spices for an additional 2-3 minutes to enhance their flavors.
  7. Then pour cashew paste and stir it till the gravy got thicker then pour 1 small cup of water mix it til you get a fabulous gravy.
  8. Pour the heavy cream to the gravy and mix well. Let the gravy simmer for 5-7 minutes, give it some time to thicken.
  9. Add the fried butter chicken into the gravy and stir it till the chicken got properly cooked.
  10. Let the butter chicken cook together for another 10 minutes, allowing the chicken to absorb the flavors of the curry.
  11. Adjust the masala if necessary and garnish with fresh coriander leaves.

Serving:

Butter Chicken is best to serve with Naan, Roti, or steamed basmati rice. The creamy spiced butter chicken curry pairs perfectly with the tender pieces of chicken, creating a delightful and satisfying meal.
