Prepare the Mushrooms (In Oven)

  1. Start with the oven preheating it to 375°F (190°C). Spread a baking sheet with parchment paper and set it aside.
  2. Rinse then mushrooms well and wipe them out by using a damp paper towel to remove dirt. Remove the stems from the mushrooms and keep it aside, make sure not to break the caps of mushrooms.
  3. Clean the mushroom caps by using a small spoon, make sure not to remove too much of the mushroom flesh, as you want the caps to hold their shape. ,you can apply some olive oil on all the mushroom caps.

Prepare the Filling

4. Now finely chop the reserved Mushroom stems and keep them aside.
5. Take a frying pan and heat the olive oil/ butter in pan over medium heat, add the 1 chopped medium size onion and 3 to 4 finely chopped garlic to the pan and fry them till the onion is soft, cook them about 3-4 minutes more.
6. Add the chopped mushroom stems to the pan and cook the stem for an additional 3-4 minutes, till they are tender and any excess moisture has dried out.

7. Now add cream cheese the the pan and saute everything till you get a combined mixture.

8. Transfer the cooked onion, garlic, and mushroom, cheese mixture to a mixing bowl. Add the 2 to 3 tablespoon of breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese grated, ½ teaspoon chopped parsley, ½ teaspoon dried oregano, salt, and ½ teaspoon pepper/ chili flakes to a mixing bowl, mix well everything to combine all the ingredients.

9. Drizzle the melted butter over the breadcrumb mixture and toss until everything is evenly coated.

Stuff the Mushrooms

10. By using a small spoon, carefully fill each mushroom cap with a required amount of the breadcrumb filling. Press the filling lightly into each mushroom to assure that it’s tightly packed.
11. Add extra grated Parmesan cheese on the top of each stuffed mushrooms to get extra flavor and texture in stuffed mushrooms recipe.

Bake the Stuffed Mushrooms

12. Place the stuffed mushrooms on the prepared baking sheet, keep space in every mushroom caps slightly to allow them for even cooking.
13. Now shift the baking sheet to the preheated oven and start bake the stuffed mushrooms for 20-25 minutes, or till the mushrooms are tender and the filling of mushrooms is golden brown and crispy.
14. Be careful towards the end of the baking time to avoid overcooking the stuffed mushrooms.

Serve and Garnish

15. Once the stuffed mushrooms are done baking, remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly on the baking sheet for a 2 to 3 minutes.
16. Transfer the stuffed mushrooms to a serving plate and start garnish with fresh parsley leaves for a desire color and freshness from it.
