Ingredients:

  • 200g paneer (cottage cheese), cubed
  • 2 large tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 large onions, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 teaspoon ginger paste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 cup cashews or watermelon seed soaked in water for 15-20 min
  • 1/2 cup fresh cream
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
  • Whole spices (cumin seed, cardamom, bay leaf, cinnamon, clove, black paper)

Prepare Cashew/watermelon seed Paste:

Grind the soaked cashews into a smooth  paste by adding a little water and side the paste for later

  • First let the pan heat on medium flame in the gas, take some whole spices and fry it on low flame till it leave their fragrance
  • Add 1 tablespoon of oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in same pan.
  • Add whole spices into the oil and put the onion into it and saute it till golden brown.

  • Let out some spices and make add tomato then make a fine paste

  • Add ginger garlic paste and keep stirring the spices on low flame and put tomato paste, salt.

Note : Adding salt to tomatoes cook them faster.

  • Then Add red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, and garam masala. Cook for 1-2 minutes and add some water to the spices and stir it till they leave oil.

  • Pour the cashew/watermelon seed paste and cook for another 5-7 minutes until the mixture thickens.

Add Paneer:

  • Add paneer to the gravy and mix it slowly
